Job summary

The Intersect Group is seeking an experienced Property Accountant to support a portfolio of multifamily residential properties in Atlanta. You will own month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and cash management while collaborating with property managers and leadership.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years of property accounting, strong Yardi and Excel skills, and a proven track record in GAAP statements and balance sheet reconciliations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of property accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage month-end close activities, including prepaids, accruals, and journal entries.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations; maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Update weekly cash reporting and monitor cash balances.
• Review vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding within Yardi.
• Prepare supporting schedules for fixed assets, taxes, insurance, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with year-end audits and investor reporting requirements.
• Partner with property management teams and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting.

We're seeking an experienced Property Accountant with a strong background in multifamily property accounting to support the financial operations of a portfolio of residential properties.
