Job summary

NeoPod Systems in New Braunfels, TX is seeking a dependable Staff Accountant to join the Accounting team. The role supports month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and project-related accounting in a construction/project-based environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work across departments to gather information for accurate accounting tasks. This on-site role reports to the Controller.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience in a construction, project-based, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Familiarity with job costing, WIP accounting, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition preferred.
• Experience with Odoo, SAP Concur, QuickBooks, and/or OneStream is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly close, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with accounts payable, employee expense reports, and vendor-related accounting activities.
• Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting, audits, and internal control reviews.
• Assist with job-cost and work-in-progress (WIP) accounting as needed.
• Research account discrepancies and work with the appropriate departments to resolve outstanding items.
• Support the Controller with reporting, account analysis, and other accounting projects.
• Help strengthen segregation of duties and ensure transactions have appropriate review and supporting documentation.
• Work with project managers and other departments to obtain accurate and timely accounting information.

Position Summary

NeoPod Systems is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team in New Braunfels, Texas. This position will support day-to-day accounting activities, month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and project-related accounting. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in general accounting and is comfortable researching discrepancies, maintaining accurate supporting documentation, and working across departments to obtain the information needed to complete accounting tasks. What We're Looking For

• At least 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a construction, project-based, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Familiarity with job costing, WIP accounting, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition preferred.
• Experience with Odoo, SAP Concur, QuickBooks, and/or OneStream is a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Dependable, organized, and able to work independently while asking questions when clarification is needed.
• Strong communication and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work effectively with project managers and other departments.
