Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent relevant accounting experience.
• 1–2 years accounting experience, ideally with exposure to reconciliations, AR, AP, or month-end close.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems; strong attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to manage deadlines and prioritize, communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support Month-End Close: assist the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Manage Accounts Receivable: oversee AR activities, invoicing, payment applications, aging reports, and collections follow-up.
• Manage Accounts Payable: handle AP, processing/coding invoices, approvals, and timely payments.
• Manage Expenses: oversee company credit card activity and employee expense reconciliations.
• Drive Process Improvement: identify and implement accounting process improvements and automation initiatives.

What You’ll Actually Do

• Support Month-End Close: Support the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage Accounts Receivable: Oversee Accounts Receivable activities, preparing invoices, applying payments, monitoring aging reports, and following up on collections.
• Manage Accounts Payable: Handle Accounts Payable, processing and coding invoices, securing approvals, and preparing payments efficiently.
• Manage Expenses: Manage company credit card activity and employee expense reconciliations accurately.
• Drive Process Improvement: Help identify and implement accounting process improvements and automation initiatives.

The Must-Haves

• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant accounting experience. This is an early-career role requiring a working knowledge of basic accounting principles and GAAP.
• Experience: 1–2 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to reconciliations, AR, AP, or month-end close.
• Skills: Proficiency in Excel, comfort working with accounting/ERP systems, strong attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to manage deadlines and prioritize, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, QuickBooks, or similar systems; sales tax experience.
