What You'll Actually Do

The Must-Haves
  • Background: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required, providing a foundational understanding of financial principles. Candidates must possess a strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 to 2 years of professional experience as a Staff Accountant or in progressively responsible accounting roles is essential. This includes practical experience with bank reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and a working knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes. Familiarity and experience with accounting ERP systems are also necessary.
  • Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory, specifically including the ability to create and utilize pivot tables and lookup functions. Candidates must also demonstrate strong analytical skills to interpret financial data effectively.
