Outdoor Perspective is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant based in Lowell, MA. You will manage day-to-day accounting tasks including GL entries, reconciliations, AP/AR, and payroll processing with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

Collaborating with operations and leadership, you’ll support month-end and year-end closing, generate financial reports, and help ensure policy compliance. On-site role with room to grow within a professional, client-focused landscaping company.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with GL, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Experience AP, vendor management, 3-way matching, and compliance.
• Experience AR, invoicing, billing, revenue recognition, and collections.
• Payroll processing experience with ADP.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software; Aspire is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team collaboration.
• On-site in Lowell, MA; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of tax, payroll, regulatory requirements; construction/landscaping sector a plus.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Staff Accountant role based in Lowell, MA. This role offers plenty of room to grow with the company. The Staff Accountant will handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including recording and reconciling financial transactions, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, and payroll processing. Responsibilities may also include preparing journal entries, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and maintaining accurate general ledger records. The role will also assist with financial reporting, budget tracking, and providing financial data to management for decision-making. The Staff Accountant will collaborate with operations and leadership teams to ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Qualifications

• Foundational accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entries, and reconciliation of accounts.
• Experience with accounts payable, including overseeing vendors, compliance and 3-way match.
• Experience with accounts receivable, invoicing, and billing processes including revenue recognition and collections.
• Experience with processing payroll through a third-party payroll company (ADP).
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets, data entry, and basic reporting. Experience with Aspire landscaping software is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Knowledge of basic tax, payroll, and regulatory requirements; experience in construction, landscaping, or service industries is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site in Lowell, MA and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• The ability to speak both English and Spanish is a plus.

Outdoor Perspective offers great benefits such as health insurance, PTO, and 401K after certain employment times. Rate of pay is based on experience starting at $33/hour.
