Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a highly driven Staff Accountant in Los Angeles to join our Accounting + Finance team. You will manage job costing, project accounting, year-end close, GL, cash flow, and invoicing for a construction/property portfolio, using Yardi and related systems.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction or property accounting, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Yardi or similar software. CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in construction or property accounting.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, construction accounting, property accounting, year-end close, GL, cash flow, financial statements, invoicing, Yardi, loan draws, and construction draws.
• Proficient in accounting principles and financial reporting.
• CPA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing job costing and project accounting to ensure accurate, timely financial information.
• Managing construction and property accounting, including loan and construction draws.
• Conducting year-end close procedures and preparing financial statements.
• Handling cash flow management and forecasting to support operations.
• Processing and managing invoices with accurate recording of transactions.
• Utilizing Yardi for financial management and reporting.
• Collaborating with teams to develop budgets and financial plans.
• Ensuring compliance with internal processes and legal requirements.
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Assisting with other accounting projects as needed.

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Permanent Staff Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting + Finance team. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working on a variety of projects, and has a deep understanding of the construction and property accounting industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in job costing, project accounting, year-end close, GL, cash flow, financial statements, invoicing, Yardi, loan draws, and construction draws.

Responsibilities

1. Overseeing job costing and project accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
2. Managing all aspects of construction and property accounting, including loan and construction draws.
3. Conducting year-end close procedures and preparing financial statements.
4. Handling cash flow management and forecasting to support business operations.
5. Processing and managing all invoices, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
6. Utilizing Yardi accounting software for financial management and reporting.
7. Collaborating with various teams to develop budgets and financial plans for the company.

5. Proficiency in using Yardi or similar accounting software.
6. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
7. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. CPA certification is a plus.
