Qualifications

• Hands-on accounting experience with strong full-cycle accounts payable and reconciliation skills.
• Experience in construction, homebuilding, or real estate development accounting preferred.
• Solid understanding of job costing, contracts, purchase orders, and general ledger accounting.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems.
• Experience with Yardi, NewStar, CMiC, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and contribute with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage project accounting activities, including job costing, budgets, contract commitments, and cost analysis.
• Oversee full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice validation, coding, approvals, and payment processing.
• Reconcile contracts, purchase orders, vendor statements, and project expenses to ensure accuracy.
• Monitor job costs, investigate variances, and coordinate with project managers on contracts and change orders.
• Assist with project accruals, cost-to-complete reporting, and lender draw documentation.
• Prepare check runs, ACH payments, wire requests, and maintain vendor records and lien releases.
• Support journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
• Assist with bank reconciliations, cash management, internal controls, and accounting process improvements.
