Responsibilities

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and support financial reporting activities

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for an onsite contract opportunity in Irvine. This role will focus heavily on bank reconciliations within NetSuite while supporting general accounting functions, month-end close activities, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically strong in NetSuite, and comfortable managing high-volume transactions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations within NetSuite
• Research and resolve outstanding reconciling items and discrepancies
• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and support financial reporting activities
• Analyze transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment
• Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting issues and improve processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong experience performing bank reconciliations
• Hands-on NetSuite experience required
• Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations
• Proficiency in Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting high-volume transaction environments
• Exposure to month-end close and financial reporting
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
