Job summary

CCS in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a Staff Accountant to expand accounting experience in a PE-backed managed services environment. You will manage general ledger, period-close tasks, and intercompany transactions.

Ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 1–3 years GAAP experience, strong Excel and NetSuite, and strong communication. This is a role offering stability, growth, and a collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 1–3 years of general ledger accounting experience with a working knowledge of GAAP and core accounting concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail; accurate, reliable, and organized.
  • Ability to act and operate independently, while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to learn quickly and build relationships with cross-functional business leads.
  • ERP systems experience; NetSuite strongly preferred.
  • Experience with multi-entity or intercompany accounting a plus.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct general-ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and identify and correct errors made by internal and external personnel.
  • Prepare journal entries including but not limited to Cash, Fixed Assets, Prepaid Expenses, Accruals, and intercompany transactions.
  • Own the sales tax filing and reporting process across all applicable jurisdictions.
  • Maintain and reconcile transactions within NetSuite, including period-close tasks.
  • Support the month-end close process and ensure all assigned tasks are completed by established deadlines.
  • Research and report variances in budget-to-actuals to management.
  • Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Support external audits by preparing requested schedules and documentation on time and in the format requested.
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and analysis as directed by management.

What You'll Do

What You Bring:

  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel proficiency; competency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • ERP systems experience; NetSuite strongly preferred.
