Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform cash application and reconciliation across A/R, A/P, and payroll.
• Complete bank reconciliations as part of month-end close.
• Review and support accounts payable and invoicing across entities/clients.
• Assist with month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Generate and maintain ad hoc financial reports using Excel/Sheets.
• Analyze data and ensure accuracy of financial records and reporting.

This role will play a key part in maintaining daily accounting functions, supporting reporting needs, and assisting with month-end close activities. Key Responsibilities For The Staff Accountant

• Perform cash application and reconciliation, matching transactions across accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
• Complete bank reconciliations as part of the month-end close process
• Review and support accounts payable and invoicing, including allocating expenses across multiple entities or clients
• Assist with month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Generate and maintain ad hoc financial reports using Excel and Google Sheets
• Analyze data and ensure accuracy of financial records and reporting

Daily Responsibilities For The Staff Accountant

• Review and manage cash activity within the accounting system
• Work through reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Support invoice review and expense allocation processes
• Create and update tracking documents and reports
• Collaborate with accounting leadership on reporting and close activities

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant

• Strong experience with QuickBooks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
• Experience with cash and bank reconciliations
• Accounts Payable experience
• Solid understanding of the full accounting cycle

Preferred

• Experience with NetSuite
• Exposure to month-end close processes (prepaids, assets, reporting)
• Experience with ad hoc reporting and financial analysis
