Job summary

Nine Energy Service is seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant in Fort Worth, TX, to support the accounting team with journal entries, reconciliations and close processes.

You will prepare payments, maintain balance sheet schedules, and assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end closes, reporting to the Senior Accountant/Controller. A Bachelor's in Accounting and 3+ years in accounting, preferably in oilfield services, are desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 3+ years of experience.
• Experience with ERP software, NetSuite a plus.
• Oilfield services experience preferred; customer service skills for operations and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial results; compare to budgets and prior periods; investigate variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and year-end close procedures including account analysis and reconciliation.
• Document financial transactions by entering account information and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and ensure deadlines are met and compliant with policies.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist with maintaining and analyzing budgets, preparing periodic reports to compare budgeted costs to actual costs.

OBJECTIVE

The Staff Accountant is responsible for general accounting functions including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations. This position will support the Senior Accountant/Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred with a minimum of three (3) years of experience.
• Experience with ERP software, NetSuite software a plus.
• Previous experience with Oilfield Services, Accounts payable, strongly preferred.
• Customer service skills for interactions with Operations and vendors.
