Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their growing accounting team in El Segundo. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working with month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting in a collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, strong technical accounting skills, and experience working with ERP systems.
Prepare and post journal entries
Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Support financial statement preparation and reporting
Analyze variances and research discrepancies
Assist with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
Prepare accruals and prepaid expense schedules
Support external audits by preparing requested documentation
Ensure compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on accounting and finance initiatives
Assist with special projects as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
2+ years of accounting experience preferred
Strong understanding of GAAP principles
Experience with general ledger accounting and month-end close
ERP system experience required (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, JD Edwards, Epicor, or similar)
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Public accounting experience a plus
CPA candidate or CPA designation preferred
Experience supporting audits and financial reporting
Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
