The Mullings Group in Florida is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with 1-3 years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

The Staff Accountant will support month-end close, intercompany reconciliations, and budgeting while maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities. You will work closely with leadership to ensure timely, accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience in multi-entity environment.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online required.
• Strong Excel skills and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Process payable transactions for multiple entities.
• Assist accounts receivable activities and cash application.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of bank and balance sheet.
• Compile intercompany reconciliations and expense allocations.
• Support month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare journal entries and ensure proper classification.
• Maintain records in QuickBooks Online and other systems.
• Support monthly management reports and analyses.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking.
• Participate in process improvements in accounting.

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting multiple entities, assisting with month-end close activities, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Process and record accounts payable transactions for multiple entities.
• Assist with accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, collections support, and cash application.
• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain intercompany reconciliations and expense allocations.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
• Record journal entries and ensure transactions are properly classified.
• Maintain accurate financial records within QuickBooks Online and other financial systems.
• Support the preparation of monthly management reports and financial analyses.
• Assist with recruiter commission calculations and related reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking activities.
• Help maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
• Assist with audit, tax, and compliance-related requests as needed.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability across the accounting function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or currently in final classes to complete degree requirements).
• 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably within a multi-entity or high-growth environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online required.
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and financial analysis functions.
• Experience performing account reconciliations and month-end close activities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Work Location

This is a fully onsite position located in Delray Beach, Florida. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available for this role.
