Job summary

Breeze Airways is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Utah team and support daily accounting activities and month-end close. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and help drive process improvements across the accounting function.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree with a concentration in Accounting.
• 0-3 years of overall accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• An energetic and positive attitude with a hands-on mentality.
• Ability to understand and articulate data and financial results.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Complete projects on time with minimal supervision, ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet deadlines.
• Must have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily activities and month-end close process.

• Work closely with the accounting team to drive process improvement.
• Assist in the preparation and planning for the annual financial statement audit.
• Development of policies and processes that will scale with company growth.
• Work collaboratively across teams, providing actionable insights to help drive optimal business decisions.
• Complete ad-hoc tasks and project work as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

A Staff Accountant at Breeze Airways will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

Here’s What You’ll Do

Physical Demands & Working Conditions
