Job summary

Breeze Airways is seeking a Safety Risk Analyst to act as the focal point for risk management across operations. The role supports regulatory compliance, analyzes safety data, and develops proactive programs to reduce incidents and hazards.

You will prepare data-driven reports and collaborate with Divisional leaders to implement safety improvements. Ideal candidates will have aviation-focused education, several years in aviation risk or safety analytics, and strong data visualization skills.

Qualifications

  • Aviation or related industry-specific degree is required.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in aviation management, risk management or project management.
  • 3 years of airline safety programs or airline operational experience.
  • 1 year of data analytics or working with safety data.
  • Working knowledge of US federal aviation regulations (FAA) and related compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead regular risk assessments with division leaders to identify hazards and mitigate risks.
  • Assist in administration of safety programs and safety reporting systems.
  • Develop and implement safety processes and procedures.
  • Utilize safety data analytics to identify trends and communicate insights to leadership.
  • Prepare safety presentations and ensure data accuracy in SMS modules.
  • Support accident, incident, hazard and injury reduction efforts with proactive programs.
  • Track monthly and yearly safety metrics for leadership review.
  • Develop safety training materials and maintain training records in Breeze software.
  • Coordinate with Safety and Security teams on issues, reporting, and compliance.

Breeze is hiring- join us! The Breeze Safety Risk Analyst is the focal point for risk management activities in the operation and across the organization. This role assists Divisional leaders in the administration of safety and risk management principles that assesses potential risks to ensure the safety of Team Members and operations. The Safety Risk Analyst actively participates in supporting and facilitating all aspects of regulatory compliance, risk management activities, analysis of reports, and projects. This person organizes and prepares safety presentations, identifies, tracks and communicates data and trends, and generates Divisional reports in addition to the safety duties as described below.

Here’s what you’ll do
  • Serves as the focal point (as assigned by the Manager SMS and ASAP) in leading regular risk assessments with Divisional leaders to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.
  • Assists with the administration of safety programs and the safety reporting system.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for utilizing the safety reporting system for data analytics, identification and tracking trends, and mitigation follow up.
  • Facilitates the use of safety data to raise awareness of operational risks, and application of corrective actions to mitigate those risks.
  • Assists Divisional leaders and Team Members with risk management and analysis of data.
  • Ensures quality of data entered within the SMS software is entered into correct modules.
  • Supports the company accident, incident, hazard and injury reduction efforts by aiding in the development of proactive and educational safety programs.
  • Track and trend monthly and yearly safety metrics for Divisional leadership monitoring.
  • Assist in developing safety training materials and managing the safety program training records in Breeze software.
  • Meet regularly with the Safety and Security team regarding safety issues, reporting, and compliance.
  • Assist in ad-hoc Safety Department Projects as assigned by the Manager SMS and ASAP.
  • Other duties as assigned

Here’s what you need to be successful
  • Aviation or other related industry-specific degree
  • 3 years relevant work experience with emphasis on aviation management, statistical analysis, risk management and/or project management
  • 3 years airline safety programs or airline operational experience
  • 1 year experience with data analytics or working with safety data
  • Working familiarity with federal regulations pertaining to U.S scheduled, domestic, air carrier operations
  • Proficient in quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with little supervision
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and programs through training and self-study
  • Proven ability to build relationships both internally and externally
  • Ability to work effectively with professionals from diverse technical areas
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Experience with aviation reporting system and record keeping software
  • Experience in using airline manuals and airline manual systems
  • Available for occasional overnight travel
  • Must have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent
  • Experience working with SMS, airline safety data and processes
  • OSHA experience OSHA 10 or 30 DOL Card
  • 3+ years of experience with data analytics
  • 3+ years of experience in airline operations
  • Experience as an airline auditor, investigator, airline subject matter expert
  • FAA license/certificate for Dispatch, A&P, Pilot or Flight Attendant
Technical Skills/Abilities
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite required
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite preferred
  • Skilled in data analytics and intelligence software
  • High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility
