Summa Health is seeking a Staff Accountant to perform monthly journal entries, patient cash uploads, reconciliations, and check scanning using the Lawson ERP system. This role supports hospital departments and collaborates with cashier and patient accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
The position requires a Bachelor's or Associate degree in accounting with 4+ years in health care accounting, excellent communication, and strong Excel/Word skills.
40 hours per week / Hybrid schedule: Tue/Friday at home Mon/Wed/Thur in office

The Staff Accountant position performs a variety of tasks including but not limited to monthly journal entries, patient cash upload and reconciliation, remote deposits via check scanning, analysis of accruals for hospital departments and various reports out of Lawson (ERP system). Performs all functions of accounting which includes knowledge of general ledger and financial reporting. Serves as liaison between cashier, patient accounting, and other point of cash collection departments. Must have the ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask to meet deadlines and handle urgent matters. Adheres to policies, procedures, and State and Federal regulations. Participates in the annual audit process.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials.
