We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This fully remote role is ideal for a motivated accounting professional with a strong foundation in AR/AP/GL, preferably with experience in big box retail and the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. You will play a key role in supporting daily accounting operations, vendor portal management, and month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Accounts Receivable, including aging reports and handling vendor portal deductions from major big box retailers.
• Perform Accounts Payable data entry and processing in NetSuite.
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close.
• Maintain depreciation schedules and assist with fixed asset tracking.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist with month-end reporting and ensure accuracy across general ledger accounts.
• Use Excel tools such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, and formulas for financial data analysis and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required).
• 1–3 years of accounting experience, including hands-on AR, AP, and GL responsibilities.
• Experience in big box retail and/or the CPG industry (required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, and complex formulas.
• Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Experience with NetSuite (required)
• Familiarity with Bill.com or other AP automation tools (Highly preferred).
