Job summary

ITAC Solutions, LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant for a fast-growing trailer and equipment dealership in Birmingham. You’ll help build the financial backbone behind sales, leasing, rentals, parts, and service as the company scales.

You’ll prepare journal entries, manage bank reconciliations, support month-end close, and collaborate with the Controller and accounting team. A bachelor's in accounting and strong GAAP knowledge are required; a bonus for logistics or heavy equipment experience.

Qualifications

• Proven bank reconciliation and journal entry experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Solid GAAP knowledge.
• Ability to pick up industry-specific accounting software.
• Bonus: background in logistics, trucking, or heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries across multiple business lines
• Own bank reconciliations and keep cash accounts accurate
• Support month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
• Investigate and resolve variances
• Partner with the Controller and Accounting Managers on reporting
• Help build processes as the department grows
