Job summary

CFS in Battle Creek, MI is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This onsite/hybrid role offers exposure to leadership and multiple areas of accounting and finance as the company expands.

You will prepare monthly journal entries, reconcile accounts, assist with month-end and year-end closes, analyze variances, support budgeting and forecasting, handle inventory costing, and participate in audits while maintaining internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities
