Job summary

Levy at American Airlines Center in Dallas is seeking a dependable, motivated Lead Steward to join our Sanitation team on a part-time, event-based schedule. You will help maintain the highest cleanliness and safety standards throughout kitchens and service areas, ensuring guest experiences during events meet Levy's quality expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in food service, hospitality, stadium/arena operations, hotels, clubs, or full-service restaurants.
• Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year of custodial, janitorial, sanitation, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Valid TABC certification (or the ability to obtain one within required timeframe).
• Valid ServSafe Food Handler Certification (or the ability to obtain one within required timeframe).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors at appropriate intervals to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Operates large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, observing all safe lifting standards.
• Assists with banquet table and front of the house set up as requested.
• Maintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned to support business operations.
