Job summary

Levy at American Airlines Center is seeking a dependable, motivated Lead Steward to join our sanitation team. This event-based, part-time position supports high-traffic kitchens and food service areas, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and organization during games, concerts, and events.

You will help maintain sanitation standards, operate dishwashing and cleaning equipment, and assist with set-up and supply distribution while adhering to safety policies and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in food service, hospitality, stadium/arena operations, hotels, clubs, or full-service restaurants.
• Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year of custodial, janitorial, sanitation, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Valid TABC certification (or the ability to obtain one within required timeframe).
• Valid ServSafe Food Handler Certification (or the ability to obtain one within required timeframe).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Operates large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
• Transfers supplies between storage and work areas while observing safe lifting standards.
• Assist with banquet table setup and loading/unloading supplies as needed.
• Maintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety policies.
• Perform additional duties and special projects to support operations.
