Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a Director of Event Operations in Evanston, IL to lead day-to-day operational readiness for Ryan Field and ensure safe, exceptional guest experiences during athletic events, concerts, and ceremonies. The role oversees event operations, staffing, housekeeping, and collaboration with Northwestern Athletics and promoters.

Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with safety standards while coordinating with Facilities, Security, and Marketing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Hospitality Management, Business Admin, Facility Management, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of progressive operations or event management in large venues.
• 3+ years of leadership supervising full-time staff.
• Experience managing large-scale events and venue operations.
• Knowledge of event logistics, housekeeping operations, and operational planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead all event operations and venue readiness for Ryan Field.
• Direct planning, execution, and post-event evaluation of football games, concerts, and ceremonies.
• Supervise Event Managers, Operations Coordinator, and housekeeping/grounds staff.
• Oversee venue setup, conversions, room configurations, and equipment.
