Job summary

Producers Rice Mill is seeking a safety-sensitive packaging associate. Schedule: Monday–Friday 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

with overtime including early starts, late shifts, weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include maintaining product quality, manual stacking, wrapping, labeling, and hand packaging into various containers. Position requires physical stamina: lifting up to 110 lb, standing 8–10 hours, climbing up to 4 feet, bending, and wearing PPE.

Qualifications

• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must be willing and able to lift and stack up to 110 pounds throughout the day.
• Must be willing and able to stand for 8-10 hours a day.
• Must be willing and able to climb 4 feet off the ground.
• Must be willing and able to bend, stoop, push, pull, twist, and turn throughout the day.
• Must be willing to tolerate working in hot and cold temperatures for extended periods of time.
• Must be willing to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be willing and able to wear required PPE.

Job Duties: Maintaining quality product (insure counts, product appearance of packaged products) before, during and after packaging. Manually stacking product in required formation and wrapping packaged product and manually placing appropriate sticker(s). Hand Packaging of product into ballers, cases and display boxes. General sanitation activities (dry cleaning, sweeping, blowing, etc.).
