Job summary

Producers Rice Mill is seeking a safety-sensitive packaging associate. Schedule: Monday–Friday 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

with overtime including early starts, late shifts, weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include maintaining product quality, manual stacking, wrapping, labeling, and hand packaging into various containers. Position requires physical stamina: lifting up to 110 lb, standing 8–10 hours, climbing up to 4 feet, bending, and wearing PPE.

Qualifications

• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must be willing and able to lift and stack up to 110 pounds throughout the day.
• Must be willing and able to stand for 8-10 hours a day.
• Must be willing and able to climb 4 feet off the ground.
• Must be willing and able to bend, stoop, push, pull, twist, and turn throughout the day.
• Must be willing to tolerate working in hot and cold temperatures for extended periods of time.
• Must be willing to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be willing and able to wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining quality product (insure counts, product appearance of packaged products) before, during and after packaging.
• Manually stacking product in required formation and wrapping packaged product and manually placing appropriate sticker(s).
• Hand Packaging of product into ballers, cases and display boxes.
• General sanitation activities (dry cleaning, sweeping, blowing, etc.).
