Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the safe, efficient delivery of surgical care in the Surgery department.

Responsibilities include preparing the operating suite, passing instruments to surgeons, assisting with patient positioning, and maintaining instrument counts throughout procedures while supporting hemostasis as needed. Eligible benefits include generous paid time off, paid parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• High school diploma equivalency AND completion of a surgical technologist program with a clinical component OR a minimum of 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
• Associate's degree or technical degree preferred.
