The St. James Hotel is seeking a Seasonal Banquet Cook to assist in preparing foods for events, offering 20-40 hours of work per week during summer. The St. James Hotel is an iconic, boutique hotel offering modern amenities with Victorian charm. We are hiring for a Seasonal Banquet Cook position, ideal for those passionate about food and service.
Work 20-40 hours per week during the summer, with options for part-time work in May, September, and October. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is preferred.
Assist the Banquet Chef in preparing foods for banquets and catering orders for groups of 15 to 250, following health and sanitation guidelines. Responsibilities include cooking, plating, holding food, and delivering to various locations within or outside the hotel. Most shifts end by 10:00 PM.
Qualifications include a basic understanding of recipes and cooking techniques, the ability to work independently, and good organizational and communication skills.
Our benefits for seasonal employees include a 401(k) match, employee discounts, and well-being benefits. The salary range is $11.13 - $14.04 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Salary details and benefits will be discussed during hiring.
