Job summary

Valiant Integrated Services, LLC seeks an SST Technician to support ARNG Mission Command Training Support Program. The role requires an Active Secret clearance and hands-on work in live, virtual, constructive environments across US sites.

The incumbent will serve as a hardware/software expert for multiple simulation systems, perform troubleshooting, and provide operator training. This is a full-time, hourly position with travel and varying hours.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in the LVC-G field.
• 5+ years' experience in setting up systems, troubleshooting, and software configuration.
• Understanding of Windows OS and Linux OS.
• Experience in high security environments with management of classified equipment; RMF/IA requirements.
• Must meet DoD 8570.01-M CE Level II certification requirements.
• Must complete DISA INFOSEC Awareness training.

Responsibilities

• Serves as local hardware, software and functional expert for FIRESIM/ExCIS, BSWS, JDLM, MUSE SENGEN, or WARSIM.
• Troubleshoots system problems and performs configuration management for software/hardware.
• Provides formal classroom instruction to BSWS operators prior to exercises.
• Maintains setup, testing and troubleshooting guides for SME systems.
• Troubleshoots computer hardware, software, and basic networking configurations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Valiant is looking for an SST Technician to join our team!

This position is a fulltime non-exempt (hourly) position, supporting the ARNG Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP). The Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) Simulation Technician provides support to the MTC and other training facilities/deployed sites (as required). Active Secret Clearance required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serves as the local hardware, software and functional expert for one of the following: FIRESIM/ExCIS, BSWS, JDLM, MUSE SENGEN, or WARSIM.
• Answers questions concerning operation of the system, troubleshoots problems and provides configuration management on software/hardware systems.
• Provides formal classroom instruction to BSWS operators prior to constructive exercises.
• Maintains setup, testing and troubleshooting guides for SME system.
• Troubleshoots computer hardware, software, and basic networking configurations.
• Other duties as assigned.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

Active Secret

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• AA/AS degree in relevant field, BA/BS preferred
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CompTIA Security + certification.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1+ years of experience in the LVC-G field. Demonstrated experience in Live, Virtual, Constructive, Gaming (LVCG) federations, models, systems, tools and Mission Command Systems (MCSs)
• 5+ years' experience in setting up systems, troubleshooting, and software configuration issues. Military experiences preferred. Simulation experience preferred.
• Must have an understanding of Windows OS and Linux OS.
• Experience working in a high security environment and management of classified equipment; Understand the Risk Management Framework (RMF) certification and accreditation process and Information Assurance (IA) requirements.
• Must meet DOD 8570.01-M Baseline and Computing Environment (CE) Certification Requirements Level II. Must meet all IA training and reporting requirements.
• Must be able to successfully pass the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Awareness compact disk--read-only memory (CD-ROM) course as a minimum training requirement.
• Reports directly to the SST Lead.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Position: Office environment, occasionally outdoors. Occasional exposure to natural conditions existing at different location around the US.

Work Week: Monday-Friday (may vary based on mission requirements)

Work Hours: 0800 - 1700 (may vary based on mission requirements)

Overtime: As Required

Travel: Often

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
