Job summary

Gideon Contracting, LLC is seeking a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) to develop and review the Accident Prevention Plan, lead hazard analyses, and deliver on-site safety education and toolbox talks. The role emphasizes proactive problem solving for site-specific safety issues and enforcing the project safety plan.

Qualifications

Strong computer skills with MS Office and SharePoint.
Ability to manage projects sized 2–15 million.
Must be able to obtain access to a Federal Installation.
Knowledge of EM385-1-1 standards.

Responsibilities

Develop and/or review the Accident Prevention Plan.
Lead activity hazard analyses and toolbox talks.
Ensure safety compliance and on-site safety education.
Manage and enforce the project safety program and incident investigations.
Conduct safety audits and ensure remedial actions are completed.
Maintain safety documentation and reporting.
Participate in safety and subcontractor progress meetings.
Interpret regulatory requirements for the project scope of work.
Adhere to company safety and insurance protocols.
