Edgewood Manor Health care center in Missouri seeks a compassionate Social Services Designee to support residents and oversee the Social Services Department. Experience in long‑term care is preferred.

The role emphasizes empathy, integrity and teamwork. You will assist with admissions, manage resident trust accounts, coordinate with other departments, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate charts while engaging residents to promote a positive environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of social work experience, ideally in long-term care.
• At least 1 year supervised social work experience in healthcare with individuals including those with mental health challenges.
• Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct overall operations of the Social Services Department.
• Assist with facility admissions.
• Manage resident trust accounts and assist with resident shopping.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate with other departments.
• Maintain accurate charts and documentation.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the overall operations of the Social Services Department
• Assist with facility admissions

• Schedule resident appointments and coordinate with other departments as needed
• Maintain accurate charts and documentation of resident care
• Engage, converse, and interact with residents to promote a positive environment
• Work primarily during daytime hours, with occasional evening and weekend visits as required

Requirements:

• Prefer 2-5 years of Social Work experience, ideally in Long Term Care setting.
• At least 1 year of supervised social work experience in health care setting working directly with individuals including those with mental challenges.
• Knowledge about Medicaid and Medicare programs is a plus.
