Job summary

Constellation Energy is seeking Initial License Trainees (ILT) to become licensed Senior Reactor Operators (SRO) at Clinton Nuclear Power Station in Clinton, IL. The role trains to supervise licensed operators in the reactor control room and oversees bargaining unit operators and equipment operators.

Primary duties include completing ILT, obtaining SRO licensure, and supporting outage activities with potential call-outs, while maintaining regulatory compliance and safety excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year Reactor Operator license at a comparable facility or 1.5 years at a noncomparable facility; must have 1.5+ years after qualification.
• Current or previous SRO Instructor certification and 4 years at a comparable facility OR 6 years at a non-comparable facility.
• Maintain minimum access requirements and pass medical exams.

Responsibilities

• Attend Initial License Training (ILT) including classroom and on-the-job training.
• Complete all training phases to obtain an SRO license to supervise licensed operators.
• Perform additional duties as directed, including emergency response and outage support.
