Job summary

North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is seeking a Security Risk Group (SRG) Lieutenant III to manage SRG operations, oversee the SRG Intelligence Officer, and coordinate with facility leadership. Responsibilities include reporting, incident management, and ensuring safe movement of offenders within the facility.

Qualifications

• Experience with discipline and rehabilitation of offenders in custody.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures and protocols.
• Experience with Security Risk Group (SRG) populations and intel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee intelligence team and SRG issues at the facility level.
• Maintain accumulative information on risks to the public, staff, and facility.
• Provide security and intelligence for gang activity incidents.
• Oversee SRG-related investigation processes at the facility.
• Monitor trends, SRG program progress, and validation processes.
• Serve as liaison to Division of Institutions at the facility level.
• Interact daily with staff and leadership on SRG matters.
• Act as primary resource on SRG duties for facility staff.
• Complete SRG, disciplinary, incident, use-of-force, and accident reports timely.
• Ensure offenders are moved safely and orderly throughout the institution.
