Job summary

Comtron, part of MEDFAR group, seeks a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer to own the reliability, security, and continuity of its Windows- and Linux-based production environment in Great Neck, NY. You will manage production infrastructure, backups, DR, and deployments while supporting modernization and cloud/hybrid patterns.

You will collaborate with the Head of Software Development, IT Director, and QA/Security teams to maintain high availability, secure operations, and smooth release cycles in

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or similar roles.
• Strong Windows Server and IIS administration experience.
• Experience managing high-availability production environments.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and network segmentation.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or hybrid-cloud environments.
• Experience with enterprise backups, disaster recovery, and production incident management.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with deployment pipelines, automation, and Microsoft TFS or similar tools.
• Experience with access controls, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure security.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Own production infrastructure, availability, and security for Windows and Linux environments.
• Oversee backups, disaster recovery, and RTO/RPO targets.
• Manage deployments, staging/UAT, and production hosting environments; coordinate deployment windows.
