Job summary

Comtron, part of the MEDFAR group, is seeking a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer to own the reliability, security, and continuity of Labgen’s Windows- and Linux-based production environment from its Great Neck office.

You will manage production infrastructure, backups, DR, deployments, hosting environments, and modernization efforts, working with IT, Security, QA, and Finance to ensure uptime and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Site Reliability/Infrastructure/DevOps or similar.
• Strong Linux admin experience (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• Experience with Windows Server and app-hosting environments.
• Strong Apache admin experience.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, certificates, and network segmentation.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP or hybrid-cloud.
• Experience with backups, DR, incident management.
• SQL and relational DBs knowledge.
• CI/CD tooling and deployment automation.

Responsibilities

• Manage Windows and Linux production servers including provisioning, config, patching, hardening, decommissioning.
• Design high-availability configurations to minimize single points of failure.
• Monitor uptime, performance, capacity, costs, and security.
• Oversee backups, DR, recovery testing, and RPO/RTO objectives.
• Coordinate deployments, staging/UAT/production environments and rollback procedures.
• Support cloud migration options and modernization strategies.
• Maintain access controls, firewall rules, certificates, and network segmentation.
• Collaborate with IT, Security, QA, and Finance teams.
