Job summary

Cisco is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Technical Leader for the Intersight Team in Milpitas, CA. Qualifications

• 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 8+ years with a Master’s degree, or 5+ years with a PhD.
• Experience designing scalable, reliable, production-ready solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and IaC using Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, networking, security, and CI/CD.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
• Proficiency in Python or Go with strong software development principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure with SRE practices to ensure high availability and scalability.
• Lead architectural vision and shape the team’s technical roadmap.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of engineering and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with product management, security, and customers to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analyses.
• Drive automation and integration of software and systems engineering.
• Develop strategic roadmaps and infrastructure for enterprise-scale deployments.
