Job summary

Planet is hiring for a Direct Access Service Infrastructure engineer to build and operate critical compute software for on-premises and cloud deployments. You’ll contribute to a next-generation Constellation as a Service platform, ensuring reliability, scalability, and end-to-end imaging operations across environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimize resource usage in constrained environments, and participate in on-call rotations to maintain service excellence.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience building services on cloud-native infra.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar.
• Experience deploying and maintaining bare-metal and cloud Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and operate compute software for on-premises and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable integration of software solutions.
• Design for reproducible deployments across environments to guarantee reliability and scalability.
