Job summary

SpaceX in Texas is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer for data center infrastructure to ensure factory uptime and scalable operations across Starship, Starlink, Starshield, and Terafab.

You will deploy, operate and scale compute, storage, and networking; manage infrastructure as code and observability; partner with software engineers and site teams; and participate in on-call rotations and cross-site deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or an engineering discipline; OR 3+ years of SRE/DevOps experience.
• 1+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, upgrade, operate, maintain, and scale compute, storage, and networking for manufacturing systems.
• Manage infrastructure as code and observability for platform health.
• Design for reliability, stability, and scale; remove bottlenecks with measurement.
• Practice proactive maintenance: capacity planning and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with software engineers and site teams to build operable systems.
• Contribute to end-to-end lifecycle from design to deployment and refinement.
• Participate in on-call and travel to sites for deployments and incidents.
