Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to secure and scale compute, storage, and networking across Starship, Starlink, Starshield, and Terafab manufacturing platforms. You will design, implement, and operate reliable infrastructure, partnering with software and manufacturing teams to reduce toil and outages.

You will own capacity planning, incident response, and blameless postmortems, with on-call duties and travel to multiple sites as required to maintain maximum production uptime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of relevant SRE/DevOps experience.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, upgrade, operate, maintain, and scale compute, storage, and networking for manufacturing systems across Starship, Starlink, Starshield, and Terafab
• Manage infrastructure as code and observability for platform health
• Design for reliability, stability, and scale; remove bottlenecks with data and engineering
• Practice proactive maintenance: capacity planning and lifecycle management
• Provide high-quality support to manufacturing and engineering users
• Participate in on-call and travel to sites as needed for deployments and incidents
