Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer to ensure reliable compute, storage, and networking for Starship, Starlink, Starshield, and Terafab manufacturing systems. You will own infrastructure health, capacity planning, and proactive maintenance across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has strong Python and Linux skills, plus experience with infrastructure as code and containerized environments. This onsite role requires travel to sites in support of deployments and incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years in SRE/DevOps.
• Strong Python and Linux fundamentals with production experience.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, upgrade, operate, maintain, and scale compute, storage, and networking for manufacturing systems across Starship, Starlink, Starshield, and Terafab
• Manage infrastructure as code and use observability to provide a complete picture of platform health
• Design for reliability, stability, and scale; remove bottlenecks with measurements
• Practice proactive maintenance: capacity planning and lifecycle management
• Partner with software engineers and site teams to build operable, maintainable systems
• Improve the full lifecycle from design through deployment and refinement
• Practice blameless postmortems and incident response
• Provide high-quality support to manufacturing and engineering users
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders and teammates
• Participate in on-call and travel to sites for deployments and incidents
