Job summary

7-Eleven, Inc. is seeking an SRE RunOps Engineer 2 to ensure reliability, availability, and performance of the 7NOW delivery platform. You will monitor production, implement automation, and collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to uphold SLOs and improve observability.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, with AWS/Azure certs preferred. Proficiency in Python/Go/Bash/PowerShell, IaC (Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation), and CI/CD

Qualifications

4+ years of hands-on SRE/RunOps experience in cloud environments.
Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
AWS or Azure cloud certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents for 7NOW platform services.
Design and implement automation to reduce manual tasks and improve reliability.
Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 support of critical systems.
Improve observability with SLIs and monitoring tools.
Conduct post-incident reviews and implement preventive measures.
Develop runbooks and operational docs; maintain DR plans and backups.
Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization across AWS or Azure.
Maintain CI/CD pipelines for safe deployments and rapid iteration.
