Job summary

Meraki is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable Kubernetes-based platforms in regulated environments. You will collaborate with senior engineers to improve reliability, performance, and security across production systems in a remote-friendly, fast-moving team.

This hands-on role emphasizes automation, infrastructure as code, on-call reliability, and tracking of SLIs/SLOs.

Qualifications

4–6 years of SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering experience.
Production experience with Kubernetes in mission-critical environments.
Strong Linux, networking, and containerization fundamentals.
IaC tooling experience with Terraform or equivalent.
Scripting in Python or Go; observability with Prometheus/Grafana.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and operate Kubernetes platforms in regulated environments.
Maintain reliability and performance of platform services, including monitoring and alerts.
Automate tooling to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets with senior engineers.
Support audits, security requirements, and continuous monitoring.
Contribute to infrastructure as code and CI/CD improvements.
Collaborate with Security, Platform, and Application teams to deliver capabilities.
Participate in on-call rotations to handle customer requests and paging.
