Job summary

Meraki is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to support the Kubernetes-based platform in regulated environments. This role is 100% remote and involves hands-on engineering to improve reliability, scalability, and compliance across the platform, working with senior engineers and technical leaders.

You will contribute to production operations, develop infrastructure as code, and help implement solutions that enhance health and performance while meeting FedRAMP High and IL5 requirements.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in SRE, DevOps or platform engineering.
• Production Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Strong Linux, networking, and containerization knowledge.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Scripting or programming (Python/Go).
• Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate Kubernetes platforms in regulated environments.
• Support reliability and performance of platform services, including monitoring and alerting.
• Automate tooling to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Assist in maintaining compliance and security requirements, including audits.
• Contribute to IaC and CI/CD pipeline improvements.
• Collaborate with Security, Platform, and App teams to deliver capabilities.
• Participate in on-call rotations supporting customer requests and paging alerts.
