Job summary

Meraki is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to support the Kubernetes-based platform in regulated environments. This hands-on role focuses on reliability, scalability, and compliance across the platform, working with senior engineers to implement scalable solutions and improved health of production systems.

You will contribute to automated tooling, on-call incident response, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet security and audit standards in a 100% remote position.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in SRE, DevOps or platform engineering roles.
• Production Kubernetes experience.
• Cloud familiarity (AWS/Azure or similar; GovCloud a plus).
• Solid Linux, networking and containerization knowledge.
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform).
• Scripting or programming in Python or Go.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, implementation, and operation of Kubernetes platforms in FedRAMP High / IL5 environments.
• Support day-to-day reliability and performance of platform services, including monitoring and alerting.
• Implement automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets with senior engineers.
• Help maintain compliance and security requirements, including audits and continuous monitoring.
• Contribute to infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipeline improvements.
• Collaborate with Security, Platform, and Application teams to deliver platform capabilities.
• Participate in on-call rotations supporting customer requests and paging alerts.
