Job summary

Ford Motor Company is hiring an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to architect, extend, and scale our global observability platform. This role sits at the intersection of software and systems engineering, delivering scalable, resilient monitoring across hybrid environments.

You will drive automation, define SLIs/SLOs, guide incident response, and mentor teammates while integrating AI/ML capabilities for anomaly detection and performance insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in an SRE role.
• 5+ years of programming in Python, Go, Java/Scala, C, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable observability pipelines across metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting.
• Define SLIs/SLOs and establish error budgets for availability.
• Build infrastructure-as-code templates to standardize instrumentation.
• Develop automation to improve resilience and time-to-market.
• Collaborate with teams to deploy cloud-native systems.
