Job summary

Akamai's Site Reliability team is seeking a proactive SRE II to ensure reliability, security, and performance of critical cloud-based services, including the Zero Trust platform. You will design and build automation, monitor systems, and contribute to CI/CD in a dynamic, security-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant Site Reliability/DevOps experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Strong scripting (Python/Go/Shell) and automation skills.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix networking and configuration management.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of critical systems and services.
• Design, implement, and maintain automation tools and processes for provisioning and configuration management.
• Implement and maintain robust monitoring and alerting to proactively identify issues.
• Collaborate with the security team to implement and maintain best practices for securing systems and data.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive adoption of new technologies.
• Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks in systems, applications, and infrastructure.
• Maintain high availability of the infrastructure and support CI/CD for the platform.
