Job summary

Expedite Talent Solutions seeks an experienced IBM MQ & Solace SRE Engineer to ensure reliability of mission-critical messaging platforms within the SRE team. You will be responsible for automation, monitoring, incident management, and continuous service improvements to keep production systems healthy.

The role requires handling MQ environments, Solace PubSub+, and related tooling across Prod/UAT/DR with a strong emphasis on on-call readiness and incident response.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years of experience with IBM MQ and Solace environments.
• Strong production support and incident management experience.
• Experience with DR testing, capacity planning, and RCA.
• Familiar with ITIL and SRE best practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support IBM MQ and Solace environments (Prod/UAT/DR).
• Manage Queue Managers, Queues, Channels, Clusters, Topics, VPNs, and Event Mesh.
• Perform troubleshooting, RCA, capacity planning, patching, upgrades, and DR testing.
• Drive SRE practices including SLO/SLI monitoring, automation, and operational excellence.
• Support major incidents, problem management, and 24x7 production operations.
• Develop automation scripts and improve platform observability.
