Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Data Engineer to support the Navy’s SMIT program. You will design, test, deploy, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data platforms in hybrid cloud environments, ensuring resilience and SLOs. The role requires U.S.

citizenship, an active DoD Secret clearance, IAT Level II, and 4–8 years of data engineering experience. Onsite work is at Navy bases in San Diego, Hampton Roads, or Jacksonville.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree with 4–8 years of relevant data engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Build and optimize data models, schemas, tables, views, and curated data sets.
• Develop data-processing solutions using SQL, Python, and other approved technologies.
• Integrate cloud and on-premises data platforms in hybrid environments.
• Implement automated data-quality checks and monitoring to catch data issues.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures and perform root-cause analysis.
