Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Splunk Enterprise Administrator focused on cybersecurity support for the Navy. The role administers distributed Splunk platforms across hybrid cloud and on‑prem environments and participates in incident response and automation within an Agile/DevOps culture.

You will monitor ingestion, performance, and retention, develop automated testing frameworks, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure SLOs are met and systems remain resilient.

Qualifications

• Requires BS degree and 5-10 years of relevant experience or MS with 4-8 years.
• Active Secret Security Clearance (DoD) required.
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification required.
• Experience designing and maintaining dashboards and monitoring with Splunk Enterprise & Splunk Cloud (ITSI, Service Analyzer, KPI dashboards).
• Scripting/automation skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell preferred.
• Ability to work onsite at Norfolk Naval Station Monday–Friday day shift.
• Vendor certifications: Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin or similar.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and perform daily O&M for distributed Splunk environments across hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Monitor platform health, data ingestion, indexing throughput, search performance, and retention; troubleshoot ingestion issues.
• Support Splunk Cloud integrations and hybrid operations.
• Maintain Splunk apps, dashboards, alerts, and knowledge objects; support upgrades and modernization initiatives.
