Job summary

SEI is seeking an Automation Engineer II to join the SRE team. You will design, develop, and maintain automation solutions across enterprise Linux and Windows environments, partner with security and operations, and drive improvements in reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years hands-on Linux, automation engineering, scripting, web technology solutions, or related field.
• Strong experience administering Linux and Windows in enterprise environments.
• Experience developing automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, or similar.
• Solid understanding of middleware, web and container tech, troubleshooting, and infrastructure concepts.
• Experience automating provisioning, deployments, monitoring, and operational workflows.
• Familiarity with configuration management, IaC, and modern automation practices.
• Ability to analyze processes and identify automation opportunities.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions for Linux and Windows environments.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts, workflows, and orchestrations using Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins.
• Perform hands-on administration, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Linux and Windows OS.
• Automate deployment, provisioning, configuration management, and operational processes for infra.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and support to align with enterprise standards.
• Create implementation plans, test plans, procedures, and technical docs for automation initiatives.
• Participate in testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automation solutions.
• Support change and release management and operational readiness activities.
• Promote automation best practices and continuous improvement across tech org.
• Work with SMEs and stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable automation capabilities.
