Job summary

Expert Technology Services seeks a senior Epic lead to supervise design, development, and maintenance of Epic applications (Beacon, Willow, OpTime). You will mentor a team, ensure effective operations, and collaborate with end users to design and optimize Epic workflows.

The role requires active Epic certifications (Beacon/Willow) and extensive configuration or clinical experience, with responsibilities ranging from project leadership to process improvements and on-call support.

Job Summary

• Supervise design, development, and maintenance of Epic applications (Beacon/Willow/Optime).
• Lead and mentor a team, ensuring effective and efficient operations.
• Collaborate with end users to design, build, and enhance Epic workflows and system configurations.
• Manage staffing, capacity planning, and supervise direct reports.
• Lead small to medium application projects, including Epic upgrades and new functionality adoption.
• Provide Epic product expertise and technical/clinical consultation.
• Participate in workflow analysis, design, build, testing, and validation sessions.
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive system documentation is created and maintained.
• Monitor applications in production; provide incident support and 24/7 on-call coverage as needed.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of Epic software and operational workflows.
• Collaborate with trainers to develop and maintain training materials.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications; manage system updates and changes.
• Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and facilitate effective communication.
• Adhere to organizational standards for system configuration and change control.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues; elevate complex problems as appropriate.
• Utilize knowledge of clinical documentation, surgical workflows, and patient flow in healthcare settings.
• Demonstrate leadership, team management, and cross-team communication skills.
• Proficiency with tools such as Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Resource management and/or prior team lead experience required.
• Active/current Epic certification (Beacon and/or Willow); 5+ years Epic configuration experience or 7+ years clinical experience.
