Sr. User Interface Developer (Remote)

Our client, based out of Ann Arbor, MI, has an opening for a Sr. User Interface Developer on a contract basis. This position is 100% Remote, and candidates need to be able to work on Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Description

As a UI Developer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to multiple healthcare projects such as Java-based web applications for public health, clinical decision support tools, EHR integration, and mobile applications. You’ll work in an Agile environment alongside a team of Software Developers and Business Analysts.

Responsibilities

• Lead UX/UI architecture, design, and development, including responsive design.
• Create prototypes, mockups, wireframes, and user interface roadmaps using visual layout tools.
• Optimize the web front end for maximum speed and scalability.
• Innovate and share ideas as we evaluate new front-end techniques to meet project needs and deadlines.

Required

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, or 6+ years of experience in front-end design and development.
• Ability to lead a technical team and mentor peers on front-end application design, patterns, and practices.
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML5/XHTML, Bootstrap, CSS, SCSS, JSON, jQuery, Ajax, and XML.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like Vue, React, or Angular2.
• Experience with Java, responsive design, cross-browser, cross-platform, cross-device functionality, and other web technologies like REST, SOAP, JSP is highly desired.
• Experience designing and implementing sites, workflows, and dashboards.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, quick learner with broad software development experience and a desire to grow technically.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Desired

• 1-3 years’ experience with accessibility and ADA compliance in a production environment.
